2011–2024 · R60 & F60 Countryman · Lebanon
The MINI Countryman — both R60 and F60 — uses a heavier-duty braking specification than the R56/F56 hatchback due to the increased kerb weight of the crossover body. The front calipers are larger bore single-piston units on standard models, with 4-pot fixed JCW calipers on performance variants.
The R60 uses a mechanical cable handbrake on the rear calipers — the same architecture as the R56 and prone to the same corrosion issues in the internal thread mechanism. The F60 switched to an electric parking brake (EPB) on the rear axle, which is more reliable but requires an electronic reset when replacing rear pads.
We supply front calipers as a matched left/right pair for either R60 or F60 specification. Rear calipers are available separately — specify mechanical or EPB when ordering.
