About This Part

The cylinder head on the MINI F56 B38 and B48 engines is an aluminium alloy unit housing the VANOS variable valve timing system, Valvetronic variable valve lift, and direct fuel injectors. When a head gasket fails, overheating event occurs, or coolant contamination is detected, a fully rebuilt head is the most reliable repair path — preferable to a bare used head that may carry hidden fatigue.

Our rebuilt cylinder heads are fully reconditioned: the head is crack-tested, valves are replaced or reground and lapped, valve stem seals are renewed, and the head face is skimmed to ensure a flat, clean mating surface. Camshafts and VANOS actuators are included. Every rebuilt head undergoes a pressure test before leaving our workshop.
