The B38A15 is BMW's 1.5-litre three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, standard equipment in the MINI F56 Cooper from 2014. While unconventional in layout, the B38 punches well above its size — its TwinPower technology (twin-scroll turbocharger, direct injection, VANOS) delivers 136 hp with smooth power delivery and exceptional fuel economy.
