About This Part

The ZF 8HP50 is one of the finest automatic transmissions in current production — used across BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, and of course the MINI F56 Cooper S from the 2018 facelift onwards. Its 8 closely spaced ratios and 100-millisecond upshift capability make it quicker than many dual-clutch units while delivering smooth, seamless progress in everyday driving.

The 8HP50 is extremely reliable when serviced at correct intervals (fluid change every 60,000 km). Failure is rare and usually attributable to neglected fluid, severe overheating, or mechatronic valve body wear. All units in our stock come from low-mileage European vehicles and are fully tested before dispatch.
