The MINI F56 uses an aluminium bonnet (hood) — lighter than steel and resistant to rust, but more susceptible to denting than a steel panel. Replacement is commonly needed after front-end collisions, hail damage, or paint failure from stone chip corrosion.
All bonnets in our stock are checked on a flat surface to confirm they are straight with no distortion or twist. Condition of the inner skeleton and hinge mounting points is verified. We supply the bonnet complete with hinges and the gas strut hood prop where fitted on the donor vehicle.
