About This Part

The MINI F60 ALL4 system uses a GKN electronic coupling — an evolution of the Haldex system used in the R60. The GKN unit offers faster AWD engagement and more precise torque vectoring than its predecessor, with the coupling integrated into the rear drive module.

The ALL4 system in the F60 is proactive rather than reactive — the system pre-emptively sends torque to the rear wheels based on steering input and driving dynamics data, rather than waiting for wheelspin. This requires the electronic module to be functioning correctly for proper AWD operation.

All ALL4 components we sell are tested with AWD engagement simulation, the coupling fluid and filter are replaced, and the electronic module is scanned for fault codes. We supply the transfer case and rear differential as a matched set where possible.
