About This Part
The MINI dashboard is a large injection-moulded assembly that includes the full width fascia, centre stack housing, vent bezels, glovebox, and passenger airbag housing. It is one of the most visually dominant interior components — any cracking, warping, or sun fading is immediately visible.
Dashboard cracking is a known issue on R50 and R53 models in hot climates — the top surface of the dashboard (the visible flat section) can develop stress cracks from prolonged UV and heat exposure. The R56 uses a slightly more UV-resistant material, but discolouration can still occur on neglected examples.
All dashboard assemblies we supply have been inspected under bright lighting for surface cracks, delamination of top-coat, warping, vent baffle operation, and glovebox hinge condition. We do not sell cracked or warped dashboards.
