About This Part

The MINI R60 uses a larger windshield than the R56 due to the Countryman's taller, more upright body — the forward rake is less aggressive, giving better visibility. OEM glass is manufactured by Pilkington or Saint-Gobain to BMW/MINI specifications, with correct optical quality and UV treatment.

The R60 windshield is available in versions with and without the rain sensor mounting provision — if your vehicle has automatic wipers, ensure you specify the rain sensor variant to retain this function. Some later R60 models also feature a front camera port for the optional park distance control camera.

The rear hatch glass is a heated rear screen unit. It is inspected for correct demister element continuity and frame seal condition. Replacing the rear glass with a non-demister unit or incorrect frame size is a common workshop mistake — we confirm exact specification before dispatch.
