MINI coil springs are colour-coded at the factory to indicate the spring rate and vehicle specification — the colour stripe on the spring coil indicates whether it is a standard, sport, or JCW rate spring. Mixing spring rates front-to-rear or left-to-right results in poor handling balance and uneven ride height.
Spring sag is a gradual process — a MINI that sits visibly lower at one corner, or that shows increased arch-gap variation between sides, likely has a sagged spring. Sagged springs reduce suspension travel, worsen ride quality, and can allow the bump stop to contact the strut under normal driving.
We offer standard height OEM springs as direct replacements, and lowering springs (typically 25–35mm drop) for a sportier stance without the harshness of coilovers. All sets are supplied as matched front + rear pairs.
