The MINI front suspension uses a MacPherson strut design with a lower control arm (wishbone) that carries the front subframe-to-wheel carrier connection. The control arm contains two rubber bushings at the subframe end and a pressed-in ball joint at the wheel carrier end.
Control arm bushing wear is extremely common on MINIs in Lebanon due to the combination of spirited driving and road surface conditions. Symptoms include clunking over speed bumps, wandering steering, and uneven tyre wear. Ball joint wear presents as knocking on full lock or during low-speed manoeuvres.
We supply control arms as a complete unit — bushings and ball joint already pressed in — meaning no press work is required at installation. Each arm is inspected for corrosion on the steel body, bushing cracking, and ball joint play before listing.
